Our new LOCALS ONLY Summer Series features Boise playwrights, writers, actors, and musicians performing workshops and road testing material on our MainStage and in the Ghost Light Pub. As a contemporary theater and an innovator, BCT believes in nurturing artists in the earliest stages of their process by providing a space for experimentation and research to produce the next great album, play, or short story. This new series will feature many works currently in development. We are thrilled to support these bold stories by brilliant minds, nurtured in a safe space where the art can grow and flourish. These artists are ready for an audience to help them shape their work as it moves from the idea stage to our MainStage. Be a part of something meaningful for Boise and beyond! - 7 PM, Mon, 6/23: a reading of Big Bang Playground, by Dayna Smith, directed by Tiara Thompson
- 7 PM, Mon, 6/30: a reading of TrapDoor, a multi-dimensional romp across space/time by Heidi Kraay, directed by Jessica Ires Morris
- 7 PM, Mon, 7/07: an evening of songs in the Ghost Light Pub with Alex Syiek
- 7 PM, Wed, 7/09: a reading of Spectra by David Cowan, directed by Julia Bennett
- 7 PM, Mon, 7/14: a reading of They Don’t Look, They Just Go, Until They Sit Still by Logan Leavitt adapted from Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas
- 7 PM, Mon, 7/21: a reading of BL!NK, book by Grace Ward, score by Elke Myers
- 7 PM, Mon, 7/28: selected readings by Amanda Turner and music by Dan Costello
- 7 PM, Mon, 8/04: a reading of Love and Fury by Samantha Silva
- 7 PM, Mon, 8/11: selected readings by Jodeen Revere and Tracy Sunderland
